Myself and mum and dad had moved into the house just after christmas,

There had been an elderly man living in the house before us who had died in the house in the summer the year before.(we did not know this at the time)

Early one evening my dad and i had gone to work (we both worked evenings) leaving my mum home alone.

She had gone upstairs to have a bath the pet cat went with her.

after she had been in the bath a little while my mum said she could hear footsteps coming up the stairs and also the sound of heavy breathing.

one night my dad felt someone pulling on his foot while he was in bed

and another night someone sitting on the bed.

when she called out there was no answer. (there was no one else in the house and the doors were locked)

during the four years we lived in the house there was the smell of cigarett smoke in the lounge (none of us smoked)

banging on an internal wall, creaking floor boards on the landing, cold spots in the lounge and the cats refusing to go in the lounge.

we found out the elderly man had died in the lounge, he was a smoker and had breathing difficualty and became breathless when going up stairs.
